When it comes to Hamilton the whole story is told though song, which is mainly rap. with todays young people listening to a lot of rap, trap and drill musical this is a way to get them involved in musical theatre.

Getting tickets to see Hamilton is one of the most challenging things I’ve done in my life. every matinee and evening is a sold out show and the best seats are very expensive. ranging from £20 for seat right at the top in the back to front row and middle seats priced at £250+ per ticket. you’d really have to take out a loan to take the whole family.
Hamilton are doing the paperless tickets for all their shows. In London you have to bring the card that was used to purchase the tickets and valid ID and the confirmation email that you got when your payment was confirmed and the person who brought the ticket must attend the sow. It’s very tight with tickets because they know people can re-sell them so they just want to make sure the right people are actually attending the show. Once you get to the theatre in London there are also sniffer dogs on sight…..which scared the hell out of me may i add – dog phobia. but they were small and didn’t actually do anything so it was fine. but the security is strict.
so when you go into the theater you give your card to someone on the for and they swipe it through a little machine and out prints your tickets just like this.
there is also a bag search, kinda like any other theatre but you get that in most places.
I really like the fact that you can enter the Hamilton lottery and win two tickets for £10 each. This really shows that the production team do care about those that can’t afford tickets.
